Artificial intelligence is about the everyday uses of AI that are at the forefront of digital transformation for major industries and small businesses alike. In combination with the tremendous computing power that is available in the cloud and emerging machine learning technology, AI tools can provide once-impossible analytics for almost any business.
Congress has an opportunity to support the responsible adoption of these tools by passing legislation to establish new guardrails for high-risk applications of AI. A coherent national framework will enable companies to adopt tools that can vastly improve performance and maintain US global leadership in the development of AI policy.
A panel, moderated by BSA, will discuss the risks associated with the use of AI technology, current frameworks to manage these risks, including the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, and how companies in the field are implementing responsible AI programs. These experts will provide insight into how Congress can address high-risk uses of AI and set all companies on track to develop and deploy AI responsibly.
Panel:
- Bruce Miller, Senior Director, Legislative Strategy, BSA | The Software Alliance (Moderator)
- Jennifer Davide, Senior Director, Privacy and Product Counsel and Data Protection Officer, Alteryx
- Michael Hind, Distinguished Research Staff Member, IBM
- Eric Wenger, Technology Policy, Global Government Affairs, Cisco
