    Danielle Brown serves as Senior Director, Legislative Strategy. In this role, Brown helps drive BSA’s engagement with Congress on software policy issues affecting our member companies.

    Brown is a seasoned Capitol Hill veteran and political strategist with 20 years of experience serving in senior roles on two House Committees, most recently as General Counsel to the House Ways and Means Committee. Brown possesses wide subject matter experience spanning tax, trade, intellectual property, antitrust, health, criminal justice, and immigration.

    Brown holds a JD from Georgetown University Law Center and a BA from the University of Michigan. She is based in BSA’s Washington, DC, office.

    Allyson Knox is Senior Director of Education Policy at Microsoft US Government Affairs. She is based in Washington, DC.  She currently serves as an advocate at the federal and state levels for the company’s positions on AI Skills, cybersecurity education, STEM education (particularly computer science), and technology in education. She recently led an initiative to make computer science courses count as core high school graduation credits in all fifty states.

    Christopher McCarney, Ed.S., serves as a Senior Account Executive in Regulated Industries for SAP primarily working with K-12 school divisions and higher education and research institutions.

    Prior to moving to the private sector, Chris spent nearly 20 years as a K-12 and higher education teacher and administrator.

    Chris holds an Ed.S. and MA in Educational Administration from the Graduate School of Education and Human Development at The George Washington University and a BME from East Carolina University.

    As Director of Government Affairs, Alyson drives Cisco’s engagement with Congress and the Administration on Cisco’s legislative and policy agenda to enable Cisco’s purpose to Power an Inclusive Future for All.

    Prior to joining Cisco, Alyson Sincavage held the position of Chief Counsel and Subcommittee Staff Director for Senator Alex Padilla. In this role, she led his Senate Judiciary Subcommittee and directed a team of lawyers, detailees, law clerks, and legislative correspondents, focusing on the development and execution of Senator Padilla’s legislative and oversight agenda. Before her role with Senator Padilla, Alyson served as General Counsel and Senior Policy Director for Senators Tom Udall and Tim Kaine.

    Prior to her work in the Senate, Alyson was at the forefront of immigration legislative policy efforts at the American Immigration Lawyers Association for several years. Her legal career began as an Assistant Public Defender for the State of Maryland, a role in which she dedicated over three years to representing indigent clients.

    Alyson grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania, and received her B.S. from the University of Florida, M.S. from the Florida Institute of Technology, and J.D. from Nova Southeastern University.

Dan has been with LexisNexis for over 9 years, first joining the team as a solutions consultant supporting the Department of Commerce, the IRS, and the SEC. In his operational role, Dan provides the sales team with guidance on the FAR and maintaining compliance with other federal regulations.  Through his leadership, Dan has helped bring Lexis+ AI to the federal market, making it the first vendor to offer a generative AI research platform on a Federal Supply Schedule. Dan holds a JD from Campbell Law School, practicing law for 5 years in complex business litigation before joining LexisNexis. He is a native of Atlanta, GA and lives in Washington, DC.
